(Based on 1 review)
The performer is seen holding a face up deck of cards. The spectator is asked to name ANY CARD (No Force). This card is removed from the deck and placed face up on the table. The deck is turned face down and shown to be all blue backs. The spectator is asked to turn over the card on the table, it has a RED back! NO rough and smooth, No sticky card, No specially printed cards, No sleights, Quick reset, Easy to do!

Oddity is Bob Solari's answer to the Brainwave Deck. Someone from the audience names any card. The cards are spread face up and the named card placed aside. The back of the named card is shown to be red. The back of the rest of the cards are shown to be blue.

As with most of Bob's products, what you're getting is a novel method. I certainly have never seen this one, though I don't claim to be an expert on the subject, either.

Things you should be aware of regarding this method:

  • There is only one deck and it can be put in full view before the routine begins

  • Any card can be named; there is no pumping, elimiation or forcing

  • The selected card is not found face-up in a face-down deck, as with some other versions of the Brainwave Deck; the difference is in the back color only

  • The named card can be examined, though the rest of the deck can not (pretty typical for a Brainwave Deck)

  • There are no sleights required, though familiarity with how to dribble cards will be helpful
