Atomic Water Vase

Fun Time

(Based on 2 reviews)
This large metal container is custom designed for this incredible magic trick. A glass of water, or any liquid, is poured into the metal container. A piece of cardboard is used to cover the opening while the whole thing is turned upside down. When the cardboard is removed, the water does not fall out!

I always liked the idea of this effect-and haven't given up on it just yet. I can't quite justify pulling this out of my bag-as I can't use it for anything else but what it's made for-if I did, I'd expose the method. The other problem is that a version I ordered from Magic Warehouse, made in India, was just really flimsy and cheap. Looked like it would bend or dent too easily. Another version on the market has a 'Starkist' type label on it-which grounds it to everyday life. Still odd, for why would I walk around with an empty cat food can in my bag? Great for comic stage shows, though. I finally found a version from Abbott's Magic, called Water Lu. No moving parts, it's smaller, sturdier, and I can use it to shake dice, or cover a prop before I introduce water. If you want this effect-see one in person-I don't know if Morrisey makes one, but India can't be the only one putting these out. Too good a trick to waste with flimsy material, even if it isn't plastic.

This is still a classic. If you are comfortable enough with it you can do it with a spectator with many comical results.
Workings are as smooth as one would expect out of this classic.
