A classic of magic for large and small audiences that fits in your pocket.

Imagine the best magic, the best magicians, and the best producers all in one place.

Imagine no more...

If you could have one set of magic DVDs, this would be it! This benchmark collection features just about all of magic's most enduring and classic effects and routines. It's a fabulous compendium with many of the top masters in the world of magic teaching their handlings and routines for some of magic's classics. Linking rings, sponge balls, metal bending, cups and balls, thumb tips, Zombie, color-changing knives, and many, many more topics are all gathered in this one terrific DVD reference set. Each volume covers a specific subject and features new, old, and sometimes rare footage by some of the top video producers in magic.

The Cups and Balls are commonly thought to be the world's oldest trick but, as Johnny Thompson theorizes, perhaps there was one before it just called "The Ball Trick." Certainly, many of magic's legendary names, including Silent Mora, Tenkai, Dai Vernon, John Scarne, Oscar Pladic and others, thought enough of this simple yet baffling plot - three small balls travel from one hand to the other - to put their own individual stamp on it.

On this volume, you'll meet five masters of this celebrated trick and one grandmaster whose work on this plot catapulted it into the rarified air of classic magic effect. Johnny Thompson begins with the classic version made famous by Silent Mora and Fernando Keops follows with Dai Vernon's archetypal method. Gary Ouellet, adding some Slydini-esque touches, demonstrates and teaches a beautifully choreographed routine while Flip offers a whimsical interpretation using aluminum foil balls. Johnny Thompson offers his interpretation of the Dai Vernon routine which serves as the perfect introduction to the Professor himself. Steve Freeman performs the Vernon routine as Gary Ouellet, Michael Ammar and Vernon himself offer invaluable insights into the history and psychology of the Three Ball Trick. Finally, David Roth performs and teaches a variation of the trick that offers some groundbreaking moves to streamline this masterpiece of close-up magic.

The Three Ball Trick is a routine that can play for large and small audiences and can be done virtually impromptu. It's inarguably one of magic's classic effects - and you'll find no better teaching resource to learn this routine properly than this DVD.

On L&L Publishing’s “The Secrets of The Fabulous Three Ball Trick” Johnny Thompson, Fernando Keops, Gary Oullet, Flip, Steve Freeman, Dai Vernon and David Roth all share their handling and performance tips for this classic of magic. Fernando Keops, Gary Oullet, Flip and David Roth share their work on the “Three Balls in the Hand" routine and Johnny Thompson, Steve Freeman and Dai Vernon share there handling of “The Balls and Net.” Being a huge fan of this effect I was very pleased to sit down with these masters and learn their magical ways. When is the last time you got to sit down with Johnny Thompson, Dai Vernon and David Roth?

All on the same DVD?

If this effect interests you I strongly recommend this DVD. The performances are culled from the vast L&L video library. The production of these DVDs is great, the format is easy to navigate and the talent is top notch.

“The Secrets of The Fabulous Three Ball Trick” is just one volume of the multi volume “World’s Greatest Magic by the World’s Greatest Magicians” series by L&L. Each volume is dedicated to a single magic effect. Each volume contains a multitude of legendary performers, performing and explaining their version of a classic piece of magic. These DVDs are an excellent introduction for those just starting out in magic. The older dog looking to bone up on the classics will find that these DVDs are a wonderful reference tool.

If I could have just one set of magic DVDs, WGMBTWGM would be it. L&L offers the best of the best in “World’s Greatest Magic by the World’s Greatest Magicians”. And they are offering it at the best price!!!

If I invited you to a lecture where the masters of magic were going to teach their handlings of classic magic effects, would you show up? Gosh darn bet you would!

Especially if I told you the lecture was only going to cost you 20 bucks!
