A modern effect in time of social networks.

Showing some cards with several social networks icons you will guess a selected icon with an organic USB cable, the card will appear connected in the USB plug.

You could use playing cards instead.

Plug It included social networks cards and gimmicks (paper bag not included).

It's perfect for parlor shows.

Comes with a Video tutorial.

Easy to perform.

Overview

The Magician shows 10 cards with several social network icons printed on them. The Spectator selects one which is then returned to the packet and then all cards are dropped into a paper bag. The Magician brings forth a USB cable and drops one end into the bag. When the cable is removed their selected card is not only connected to the card but the cable with plug attached is passing though a hole in the card.

Effect

Plug It is a very unique prediction effect where a card previously selected by your Spectator ends up somehow attached to a USB cable. The cable is impossibly attached ‘ through’ a hole in the card what was not previously there. It can be openly shown with the card running freely up and down the cable. As the cable plugs are larger than the hole, it truly is a magical experience. Very easy to perform and highly visual. If you want you can perform this with a deck of cards (which you provide) and as a finale, the Spectators selected attached card is torn off the cable which they can keep as a souvenir.

Method

The gimmick does all the work for you and is very well made. A simple force needs to be used which all of you must know and if you don't depending on your skill level you will be taught a few in the tutorial. It is very easy to perform, I was doing it minutes after I received it and no need to be concerned about angles.

Product Quality

Plug It comes with very colorfully printed social network cards, the USB cable, gimmicks and a link to a video tutorial (paper bag not included). The card stock is not that thick so care will need to be taken if performed regularly but this is not an issue. I am already making new thicker ones as I can see myself performing this a lot. If you use playing cards, this is not a problem especially if you will be giving the attached card away.

Ad Copy Integrity

What the ad says and what you see in the video is accurate and depicts what the effect is and will do however if you want to show the bag empty before you put the cards in it, you will have to do a very minor little move to accomplish that. No worries, it is not hard, sophisticated or worrisome, your Spectator will not see a thing. All is taught and you do not 'have to' show the bag empty. Remember - you don’t have to run if you are not being chased.

Final Thoughts

This is a really great effect and something different. As it uses social network logos that everyone recognizes it is truly modern and up to date. Great for parlor and visual enough for small small stage shows and possibly strolling in the right environment. With very minimal set up, you can change the card that will end up on the cable. I am incorporating this into my act now and sure you will do so too. A little pricey (- 1/2 star) but all in all a very good buy for such a visual and memorable effect (effect itself is a 5). Highly recommended.
