Nine giant-size cards, each printed with a different two-digit number, are shown to the audience Two spectators are each asked to mentally select one of the numbers They may take their time and change their minds as often as they wish. They do not tell anyone their numbers, nor do they write anything down. The performer merely asks them to concentrate on the numbers which they have secretly selected. Yet the magician or mentalist successfully reads their minds, marking

down his mental impressions on two separate, blank cards. These are kept on display the entire time. When the two participating spectators tell the audience the numbers they have been thinking of, the performer shows his cards, proving that in each case he has correctly read their thoughts with 100% accuracy.
