Witch And The Prince, The

Mark Leveridge

This delightful story trick is suitable for close up magicians who work family audiences and also for children's entertainers needing something new for their smaller birthday party shows.

The story is told of an ugly witch who fell in love with a handsome Prince. When the Prince found out about the witch's feelings, he banished her from his castle. In a fit of rage the witch cast a spell and turned the Prince plus a number of other things around his castle into frogs!

Four colourful laminated pictures of frogs are shown and one placed aside for a moment. A little girl from the audience is enlisted as a Princess, and she has to blow kisses at the frogs in order to turn them back into what they were before they became frogs.

One at a time three of the frogs magically change into a dustbin, a vacuum cleaner and a watering can! Good job she didn't try to marry any of those frogs! Finally she blows a kiss at the frog placed aside at the start and it turns into the handsome Prince!

This is perfect entertainment for young people aged 3 - 7, especially if, like me, you decide to ham up the story and use funny facial expressions to denote different characters in the story.

The cards supplied are playing card size but are printed in bright colours and laminated to give years of service. The handling required has been carefully worked out to make it straightforward to do. There are no special counts to master, for instance.

As well as the cards you receive a plastic carry wallet and instructions which feature 14 colour photo illustrations. This is the ideal effect to carry around in your top pocket for use ‘impromptu' or as part of your regular children's show.
