This new-style, front-opening, extended blade Wrist Chopper is a great improvement on previous versions of this prop. The blade actually extends beyond the frame at either side of the guillotine, making it look impossible that the blade could be faked in any way. The front is hinged so that it can be opened downwards to give a clear view of the interior and when the blade has chopped through the wrist it can be shown at the bottom of the frame UNDER the wrist, by opening the front. The bottom hole is much larger than shown in the illustration and will hold a carrot etc. Terrific comedy can be obtained from this prop. The effect, is of course a classic, a lady places her arm into the top hole after a vegetable has already been chopped by the guillotine. The blade is slammed down and cuts right through the arm and through a vegetable placed in the bottom hole. The blade can be completely removed from the frame and clearly shown. The fact that the blade projects out of either side of the frame is a very strong factor in convincing the audience that everything is above board. A super prop.
