Doll Through Glass

No Reviews Yet
Many years ago the late, great Jack Hughes invented a wonderful trick called Dove Thru' Glass. Since dove magic has become rather unpopular with magicians, we have changed the effect whilst retaining the clever principle. The apparatus is only half the original size, making it far more portable. Instead of a dove we use an attractive doll. The effect is quite straight forward. A frame is shown to contain a clear perspex sheet, free from holes or slots. A wooden support which contains a star trap is folded upwards against the sheet of perspex. Now a doll is shown and examined. The doll is suddenly thrust right through the star trap and through the solid sheet of perspex, emerging at the other side of the frame. The doll is again thrust through to further prove that the magic is happening right in front of their eyes. Instantly, the star traps are lowered and the audience are allowed to feel the perspex sheet to prove there really are no holes. The frame sits in a nicely decorated stand which folds for packing, but the stand does not actually help to make the apparatus work ... the mechanism is all contained in the frame. A really terrific piece of visual magic.
