EFFECT: A WOODEN BOX and a KEY is given to ANY spectator who is asked to UNLOCK the box. He does so and finds that the bottom of the box is made of Slate. Handing him a piece of Chalk you ask him to write on the slate, inside the box the Name of someone you couldn't possibly know, then to lock the box and retain the key. Whilst this is happening, you turn your back. By the way, if you prefer they can, instead of a name, use Figures, Sums of Money, Cards, Designs etc. Now ... this Locked Box is placed into a Larger Wooden Box, and left in full view. Standing well away ... you now use your " X-Ray Eyes" and reveal the contents of the box!
No sleight of hand ... the apparatus, well made in Polished Wood, is automatic in action. You will find many uses for this most ingenious piece of apparatus., for instance, instead of writing, small objects of a personal nature ... Ring, Watch, Pen, etc., may be placed in box by spectator ... your "X-Ray Eyes"can penetrate the solid Wood to enable you to reveal the contents of the box within a box!
