You show an ordinary potato and place it into a piece of silver foil. Add a dash of vinegar on top of it and it is then completely enveloped in the silver foil. It is placed onto a spectator’s hand and a match is lit and held some distance away from the silver foil wrapped potato. Suddenly the spectator feels the potato getting hotter and hotter within the foil until eventually he is forced to drop it onto the table. The potato is unwrapped and is seen to be steaming, it is cut through with a knife and is now found to be completely cooked. Easy to do and is a sure reputation maker. Everything necessary to perform the trick is supplied you just supply one ordinary potato.
