A clever mechanical miracle - easy to do. Visual magic at it’s very best. A wooden hand is shown on which rests a ‘Crystal Ball’ (which is really two round pieces of perspex (lucite), these are held firmly together by means of rubber bands. A playing card is chosen from a pack (Lexicon or Happy Families cards can be used for children). The card is replaced into the pack and the pack shuffled. The performer holds the apparatus and invites the spectator who chose the card to throw the pack at the ‘Crystal Ball’. As the cards hit the ‘Crystal Ball’ it is seen that there is a playing card trapped between the two pieces of the ‘Crystal Ball’. It is the chosen card!
