A banknote or a large value check is securely locked into a clear plastic frame with the wonderlock. The lock will only open with ONE of the FIVE keys supplied. This can be demonstrated before snapping the lock shut. The keys are handed out to random audience members, keeping any one key to one side for the performer. Please note the keys are NOT FORCED IN ANY WAY, nor are they switched in any way. The four audience members all try their luck one by one by attempting to open the lock and win the money, with their selected key. All four fail to open the lock.
AT ANY TIME BEFORE TRYING THE KEY IN THE LOCK THEY CAN SWAP WITH THE PERFORMER’S KEY. Despite all this, none of the four keys held by the spectator’s will open the lock. When the performer’s key is tried in the lock IT OPENS THE PADLOCK AND HE KEEPS HIS MONEY. AT NO TIME DOES THE PERFORMER TOUCH THE LOCK DURING THE KEY TRYING PROCEDURE. A SPECTATOR CAN TURN THE PERFORMER’S KEY IN THE LOCK IF REQUIRED ... THE PERFORMER DOES NOT NEED TO TOUCH HIS KEY AT ALL, YET IT WILL ALWAYS OPEN THE LOCK.
