A card is chosen from a pack and returned into the deck. A paper bag is shown and it is explained that inside the bag is a rat trap which has been set. The cards are dropped into the bag as the performer explains that the trap has been trained to snap shut on the selected card. The bag is shaken and nothing seems to be happening so finally the performer puts his hand inside the bag. A loud SNAP is heard from inside the bag and the performer screams in agony as the trap is heard to snap on his fingers. A bloody finger is drawn out of the bag ... but the performer insists on carrying on and when his hand is withdrawn from inside the bag it is seen that the rat trap is firmly fastened to his hand ... BUT under his hand is a playing card ... yes, it is the chosen one!
