Bring out Packy. She is a large wooden cutout of an elephant. Complete with star-studded vest and a giant stars-and-stripes decorated top hat. Standing almost two feet tall, beautifully painted in bright circus colors, Packy is truly a sight to behold. Next bring out a Jumbo deck of cards. Makes sense. Jumbo elephant. Jumbo deck. Have one of the kids pick a card from the shuffled deck. The card goes back in the deck and the deck is shuffled again. Place the deck inside Packy's top hat and explain that she will magically find the selected card and remove it with her trunk. She lifts the hat to her trunk, then lowers it. She holds one card in her trunk. It is the Three and a Half of Clubs. Wait a second. That's not your card, is it? Let her try again. This time, tell the kid to make his mind a total blank. The hat goes up then comes down. Packy now holds a Blank Card. Once more. The hat goes up. The hat drops down. Packy now holds the 14 of Diamonds.Up and down again. This time Packy holds one card in her trunk. It is, finally, the selected card.
