Bring out a large Martini Bottle. Pour a drink and set it aside. Show a small red paper tube; place it over the top of the bottle. The tube only covers half the bottle, so most of the bottle is in full view. Drape a cloth over the entire unit. A magic word. And, when the cloth is whisked away. What's this? The bottle is still there. Without the cloth, and while the bottle is still visible, it suddenly vanishes. The tube is shown completely empty. The bottle is really gone. The vanish is quick as a wink. If you like, the bottle could change into a large silk scarf, or into a smaller bottle.
