Bring a ViewMaster® You know the one. You had one when you were a kid (if you were a kid when I was a kid). For those under thirty, a ViewMaster ® is a pair of binoculars. When you look through it you see really cool 3-D pictures that change when you click the lever. The viewer accepts round photo-discs. Each disc contains seven defferent picures. Have a member of the audience select one of three discs.Place the selected disc in viewer. Click the lever, showing her the many cool pictures on the disc that she has chosen. At the same time you demonstrate that the selection she will make ina few seconds is totally free and random. Ask the spectator to click away at the lever, stopping when she gets the urge. Ask her to put the camera down. Show a prediction envelope that has been in full view throughout. Ask the spectator to look through the camera and tell everyone what she sees. Her answer will be, "nothing." Turn the envelope over. Printed on the back of the envelope is the word "Nothing." Ask the spectatorer to look through the viewer again. This time you won't block the light with your hand. Ask her to tell you what she sees. As she is describing what she sees, you open the envelope and show everyone that your prediction exactly matches their randomly selected picture.
