Fortunetellers Book of Days

Green, Paul

(Based on 1 review)
Based on Alex Elmsley's "Fate Datebook," the Fortuneteller's Book of Days was designed by Paul Green to be performed by any magician without sleight of hand. It is truly easy to learn, with no special skills needed, yet it will astound your audience and leave them thinking you really do have mystical powers. Here's the effect. The performer displays the Fortuneteller's Book of Days containing 366 short paragraphs, one written for each day of the year, which profiles an individual born on that day. In addition, there is a different playing card for each day as well. A spectator is allowed to choose a card, which is not revealed. The spectator reads the profile that appears on his or her birth date, and amazingly, it seems to match the individual quite closely. Finally, the spectator announces his "Lucky Card" and when his selection is revealed, it matches. The book itself is 4.25" x 6.5", hardbound with a stunning gold foil embossed cover.

I used to prepare two vestpocket datebooks, every year, to perform a different version of this effect. NO MORE! With the "Fortuneteller's Book of Days" I have a one trick showstopper for any occasion.

There is a bit more to the effect than just read the instructions and then do it. There is a wee bit 'o memorizing that is required, but it is minimal.

I really hate to recommend this effect, because it is so good, but it is a great investment for your $20.00!!!
