A three-phase routine with an ordinary, ungimmicked ring. Impromptu ring magic in finest form: the ring simply melts through your fingers.

Show your ring to the spectator, and ask them to hold out their hands. The ring is placed on YOUR index finger, and shown to visibly MELT through - falling into their outstretched hands. That's only the beginning.

The ring is completely ungimmicked. The routine is completely impromptu.

30 minutes of detailed instruction. Each move was designed to fit YOUR personal style in a standalone performance or within the structure of a routine. Patrick includes performance tips and subtleties that were developed with the help of Garrett Thomas, acclaimed ring magic expert.

As an extra bonus, Patrick teaches a beautiful ring vanish off the table. With just a wave, the ring seems to visually, fairly, slowly vanish.

Patrick Kun is one of my favorite magicians. His magic is very creative and clean. It's worth mentioning that, at the time of this review, he is on David Copperfield's creative team as well.

Well for a cheap download you get a handful of good magic from this unassuming guy. This is a three phase ring routine using, for the most part, one ungimmicked ring.

The download starts with the types of rings that would be best for this. If you are worried it may be best to buy a ring after you purchase the download so that you can experiment with different types of rings.

For the first phase, the spectator cups their hands, you put the ring on and it melts through your finger falling into their hands. I added this into my repertoire immediately after I saw it. You can do this with almost any ring and will have the sleights down in a matter of days.

The second phase is a visual pull through. Patrick mentions that this is an idea he adapted from Alex Ward. I like this a lot but I prefer Justin Miller's handling of the same effect. Basically the ring is placed on your finger fairly and is visually pulled through your finger. This is very startling.

The third phase requires a special something. The effect is beautiful, the ring starts in the palm and is slowly massaged through the finger. The secret something is easily attainable, it's nothing that you'd have to go get at a specialty store, but you may want to know about it before you get your ring. If you do you will have a very nice ending to your ring routine.

The bonus move is a nice ring vanish that is performed without gimmicks and makes for a beautiful vanish of a ring. My favorite part of the download was his thoughts and tips at the end. He gives various alternative handlings and tips from Garrett Thomas and others regarding the routine. He includes an alternative to the first phase here and I will be using it from time to time for sure.

So for $10 you get 4 or 5 moves all using a normal finger ring. I think if you are new to ring magic and are looking for a fairly easy solid routine this is a good spot to start.
