Available in a very limited supply. Originally published between the late 1940s into the early 1960s, Pentagram was a highly regarded source of original material for the professional mentalist or magician. Pentagram was perhaps the truest successor to Ted Annemann's Jinx in that one of its focuses was on commercial mentalism, and its author was a performing mentalist and magician. Peter Warlock was a brilliant author, creator and performer, who brought a keen eye for strong, workable material. Published in England, Warlock was able to attract contributions from talented mentalists such as Koran, Jaks, Boarde and others, as well as including many of his own pathbreaking contributions. These volumes also contain several tribute issues to Annemann and Jinx. There is also a wealth of material for the magician and close-up entertainer. Alex Elmsley, Jack Avis, and Roy Walton are among the many fine contributors to Pentagram. While there are advertisements and commentary of the time when the magazine was originally issued, these volumes are not just a historical archive; much of the material is fresh, commercial, and effective for today's audiences. Whether you are a mentalist or magician, if you are looking for performance-quality material, you will find it here. A beautiful two-volume set of over 1300 pages. The price is a bargain for the material included.
