A knot is tied in a length of blue rope. The knot is stroked by hand on the magician's coat and the knot changes to red. A yellow piece of rope is introduced and both ropes are twirled together. When they are untwirled, the red knot is seen to have jumped onto the yellow rope. The magician gives the rope a good shake and the red knot changes visibly to blue. Finally, the blue knot is untied and it is actually a four-inch blue section of the yellow rope. Complete routine, blue rope, two red knots and yellow rope with blue section.
