Write a prediction on a single card which is then scald in a small envelope. The envelope is signed by a spectator to rule out any substitution. A paperback book is now freely displayed. Every word on every page is different. The spectator places the envelope into the book at any place she desires. A genuine free choice. The book is now opened at this position, and the top word on both of the facing pages is noted. Show that if the spectator had indicated another page, the words would have been different. The spectator now decides on either of the chosen words (another free choice). The envelope is opened and the chosen word matches your prediction. Of course, the envelope is now empty.
