This is an ingenious mechanical prop, that appears as a simple board , or a wooden coaster. It will vanish and reproduce a coin in a very clean manner. The first model of this we came across was about 40 years ago, designed to work with an eight anna (fifty paise) coin, about the size of a US Quarter. It had a red and white checker board pattern, and was one of the cleverest magical props we had encountered. The model now supplied has a natural wood finish, which makes the board look more ordinary and ungimmicked. It will work with a half dollar coin, or any coin of up to this size.
