Mel Mellers is a funny guy. I laughed many times during this DVD. I am not sure many people could get away with his type of humor but it is a fun DVD to watch. Much of the items on Mel’s DVD are simple and straight forward. There are not knuckle busting moves or complicated plots. Mel takes simple tricks and turns them into hilarious entertainment.
Undiscovered Wonder is an appropriate name as I am sure most people have not heard of Mel Mellers. However, if he keeps putting out quality material like this, I am sure the magic community will take notice.
What makes this a stand out DVD, is that Mel teaches and entire act. This is not a collection of tricks, but an entire act from opener to closer. Amazing!
There are strong pieces of magic, comedy bits, and quick surprises. I believe most performers will gain something by watching this DVD. Mel’s ability to interact with the audience is extremely funny and his audience control is also worth noting.
The DVD is shot with a live audience. Not a staged audience but an actual show. The video is clear and the editing is first class.
