Random I-Tunes Song of the Moment – Only Time Will Tell By Nelson

As I recall, it was you that said goodbye, and now you’re asking me to give it one more try. Great lyrcis folks . . . and a great segue to my John Bannon review.

I’ve been a huge Bannon fan since way back in the Impossiblia and Smoke and Mirror days. Then he vanished for a while . . . then came Dear Mr. Fantasy and Bullets After Dark and now Mega ‘Wave. I must say, it’s nice to see that Bannon is back, and “only time will tell if he’s gonna stand beside us through heaven and hell.” I think he will. This material proves it. Solid as a rock

For 15 Bucks you get a very well laid out book with 7 (what Bannon calls) fractal effects . . . packet tricks that are fully examinable at the end of the effect. Bannon gives you multiple ideas on how to perform these effects and ways to do them by taking cards right from the deck and/or carrying the cards around separately in a packet.

Gone are the days of the vinyl wallet with Bannon’s groovy idea on how to carry the cards around. Many of the effects have excellent presentational hooks, and interesting looking displays and “packaging.” The writing is extremely well done. I was able to completely follow everything on my first read through with no cards in hand.

What you’ll also find here are variations on some of Bannon’s classic stuff (e.g. Call of The Wild).

Bottom line, folks, if you like interesting card magic with fun presentations, then get this book; for $15 smackers, you can’t go wrong. 4.5 Stars (lost 1/2 point for a fair amount of grammar/typos/etc) – GEM!
