Overview

I'm going to keep this simple: every performer needs a couple of these. I feel comfortable saying that if you are reading this review, you probably understand the concept of 'forcing', used often in performing magic. These little pads help you do this quite easily. They come two to a package... each are gimmicked in exactly the same manner.
I will keep at least one of these with me at all times. Operation is simple and lets you focus on your performance. Also: there are GOBS of eBooks out there that cover these pads. If you buy this: investigate some of those... there are some SMART ideas floating around out there. I won't tip it here, but there is a cool little item on the pad, that helps you know what the front of the book is...that's important when performing this.
Special note: If you dig around, this company also sells the UNGIMMICKED version of these pads, if you happen to encounter suspicious spectators.

Effect

Pretty straight forward - SvenPad is sort of a larger 'system' of pads, using an old physical concept. The 'effect' can actually be any of 50,000 different effects, depending on what you want the spectator to 'choose'. It's good, dead on, lets you do what you need to do and the physical item does what promises. These pads are small, and look like they come from any office supply store.

Method

The physical movements/handling are quite simple: the idea is to NOT over think it and also to NOT over explain it (that will make things look awkward).

Product Quality

Excellent -- simple, looks perfectly normal -- which is what you are going for. Remember: you get 2 little notebooks as a package here...each gimmicked.

Ad Copy Integrity

Dead on solid, nothing negative to say. There is nothing misleading. Delivers what it promises.

Final Thoughts

If you do a single shred of mentalism, you need at least 1 of these.

Predominantly for close-up, but can work for platform.
