Visible Sawing

Mak

(Based on 1 review)
Now you can perform the famous "Sawing a Lady in HaIf" illusion in a neat portable model using a power saber saw. Borrow a girl right out of the audience. Place her on any table and cover her middle with the wooden frame. The power jig saw is started up and run right through the frame -- from one side to the other. You have apparently cut right through the girl's body.

Twenty-five years ago I used this effect a lot, even in children's shows. Time has changed, and I don't find many times (other than Halloween) when I feel comfortable using this. But, every magician has his/her own style and comfort level.

It always gets a strong reaction. While it is not set up to cut a piece of heavy wood at the outset of the trick, I found a way to cut what looked like a thick piece of wood. That made the visible sawing much more credible.

The sound of the motor is good, and it can be used with an assistant from the audience without any problems. It can also be performed in a living room, not just on a stage.

A good effect and bargin if you like this kind of magic.
