I ordered from them once. I didn't get the discounts (which was the only reason that I ordered in the first place) that I was promised. It's been over a month now and I still haven't received all my items.

To top it all off, the (small) items that I did receive were shipped separately, just to boost up my shipping charges.
The actual website itself isn't that hot either.

After doing business with the Depot for quite a while, I have discovered that they have fair prices, excellent service (same day shipping), and on many orders the shipping was free. In addition, they are the only magic shop I know of that has a 30-day return policy - no questions asked! The staff is knowledgeable - especially Aaron Smith. I think the last reviewer had a bad experience as a fluke!

Pros: good web site. Cons: their advertising is misleading. They try to give you the impression you can "shop with confidence. More than 95 % of the products on this web are returnable at little or no risk to the customer". You will be surprised how long you will have to fight for a refund even for defective and incorrect items and they will try to charge you a restocking fee even for those. My monthly budget for new magic items has been 800 $ for several years now and my experience is: avoid the big advertisers and try to buy from the mostly small outfits that created the prop. They need the business and they know any negative feed back on forums will hurt. The big outfits know that negative posts about them will be removed by the moderators, the only exception being My Lovely Assistant.

I really enjoy making purchases from the crew at The Magic Depot. I would rather call on their TOLL FREE line and chat about magic I intend to buy with the sales manager Aaron T. or Marly the shop guy. These guys are very friendly and proficiant in their work. If something I want is not on the web site, they will offer to hunt it down and either tell me where to find it or they will find it for me. I will gladly take most all my business to them. The rest of my magic business usually goes to Mark Stevens at Magic Emporium.

One of the better dealers...Good prices, Communication is fantastic! If you have a question or need a opinion on a item, Aaron will give you a honest answer....not just to make a sale. Two Thumbs up!

They were the worst company I have ever had to deal with. Aaron himself even resulted to name calling. Their prices are good, if you ever get your products. As for customer service, he is a jerk.

Item ordered 8th August. Now 29th August. No emails, no nothing. Seems item is on back order. Makes you wonder why they advertize what you know you do not have. I will write up out come, good or bad.

Worst online shopping experience ever.
After over 3 months I still don't have all of my order, I have had to prompt them all the way and now they are barely even answering my emails.
They certainly don't follow through with all the promises that they claim.
I am extremely disappointed because it all looked very positive to begin with.

After some initial difficulties in receiving the order I placed way back in January, I initially had some pretty frustrating correspondence with these guys and was very unhappy. Then Aaron Smith personally intervened and has turned it around quite remarkably. He himself is very polite, was understanding of my complaint and has offered to rectify it in a fair way. Although I had difficulties with one item that I ordered (a situation I am still resolving with them now - but at least Aaron makes this correspondence easy and pleasant), a second item that I ordered impressed me greatly and featured a DVD made by Aaron demonstrating the trick which reflects his skill and love of the craft very well. 3.5/5 stars reflects a mixed experience, but it looks as though it will end on a high given how dedicated and considerate the business owner is and how much he really cares about customer experience and word of mouth.

Don't normally write reviews, but felt compelled to after dealing with this company. Incredibly slow service in general. Canceled my order after waiting almost three weeks for it to ship, and have been waiting over a week now and still haven't received my money back. Zero follow through with anything so far, only information I ever received was if I specifically emailed and asked, otherwise I was left in the dark. I will never buy from them again, and would not recommend anyone else to buy from them either.

Decent shop to order from. In my experience with them (it was in winter time) my order was delayed because on bad weather in their area and mine, no fault of theirs/mine. I had several emails from the owner about issue which i thought was good customer services and also I had a question about the "split deck" my email was answered in a quick timely manner with the info i needed, i do order from several places online The magic depot is in my top 5 list. Sometimes a phone call/email is needed to see if the item you want is in stock. My items came in excellent packing and great shape.

I ordered a single item over one and a half years ago, which was listed as in stock. Item still had not been shipped after 6 months, at which point I ordered the item from elsewhere and requested a refund.

Refund was refused as they had back ordered the item. ( without my knowledge or permission)

After a year and a half, refund has still not been made, item never sent and no communication. About to take legal action.

Would not ever use this fraudulent business again. Beware

I have an order from 2017, its now the middle of 2018. I decided to change my order because the other order wasn't even being made any more. Now my new order, which I was told was in stock, is lost in limbo. I feel like they are con artist. It's House of Fakini all over again!

I used to be a fan of theirs, however my last two orders which indicated ITEMS IN STOCK were not and not only that they didn't even TELL ME that the item was BACK ORDERED till after I waited for a MONTH to receive it and queried why I hadn't gotten the shipment. I was than told on the 1st item it'd be shipped around XMAS which wasn't till MARCH the following YEAR and I didn't wait, got them to CREDIT me which they did promptly and with courtesy. I used the credit on something they e-mailed me on IMMEDIATELY and they weren't in stock either resulting in WAITING yet again, in fact I'm still waiting and the order was placed in FEB (4 months already). They don't STOCK everything they have on the site and don't be fooled by them saying they do.
