We love this effect, it blows laymen away.

A deck of cards are shown to be ALL BACKS on both sides, as you explain that last night you had the strangest dream. You dreamed that a spectator named any card. (they do this) lets assume they name 4C no force this is any card in the deck.

In your dream you have a wallet, this wallet was on the table in FULL VIEW all the time BEFORE they named their card.

The ALL BACK deck are spread out on the table showing both sides are all backs. The decks is flipped over and all the cards now have a face, its a regular deck. They run ace thru king all the way thru. There is one card missing from the deck, its the spectators THOUGHT of card.

With no palming nothing in your hands at all you reach into the wallet and remove one card. Yes you guessed it, it's the named card.

Easy to do, comes with special gimmick, a beautiful leather wallet, step by step DVD instructions. All you need is any deck of cards.

For $40.00 you get:

  • A Z-Wallet/Himber-style wallet

  • Two "specially printed" cards

  • A 21 Minute DVD

After watching the trailer, if you like the effect, you'll be very happy with your purchase. The props are very well made and purchased separately would cost at least $40 bucks, likely a lot more.

So even if you're not a fan of the effect, this is a decent way to get a Z-Wallet that has an extra little secret that not all Z-Wallets have.

The routine . . . I've never been a fan of the All Backs plot. However, I can certainly appreciate some of the clever displays shown in this routine. Mason has a really clever way to apparently show both sides of a stack of cards as being all backs that is extremely convincing even when you know how it's done. I will likely never use this move in an All Backs routine. However, I have some ideas for its application in a routine where I need to show cards blank on both sides . . . this move'll do it.

As dry as Mason's presentation was, I appreciated the fact that it was a presentation that had some meaning rather than the obligatory put and take crap that is so common amongst magicians these days. So thank you Mr. Mason for that nice change of pace.

Personally, I didn't care for the plot of the effect but again at least there was a plot. I gained, however, many ideas that I can apply elsewhere. Plus I can see myself possibly doing a modified version of the effect.

Regardless of my liking or not liking the presentation, the effect (though a bit long and dry) is very impossible seeming.

So again, if you like the presentation and/or the effect, or you need a really nice Z-Wallet, get this DVD.

Final Verdict: 4.5 stars with a Stone Status of Gem.
