"I didn't start doing magic until my late 20's. If I saw magic on television, I'd try to come up with a way it was done. Most of my thinking was 'wrong'... but led to some very useful tools I use in my magic today! It's time to share it."

The Unorthodox Collection is Rich Ferguson's excellent instructional DVD that is based upon Ferguson's own sleight called the Fallout. The Fallout, is a hybrid of a second deal, a side steal and a palm. The teaching is excellent and the multiple camera angles on the various moves are an example of how card moves should be taught.
This DVD is not for beginners and Ferguson assumes that you know basic moves before watching this DVD. Although he does not teach them, he quickly reviews the basic moves. During the course of the DVD, Ferguson gives history of various well-know moves and credits the magician's thought to have created various sleights and flourishes.
This DVD is jam packed, I repeat JAM PACKED, with moves, techniques and sleights and Ferguson's own take on card handling methods that you may already use. He does not teach any tricks or individual routines, but instead teaches techniques that can be used in your tricks.
Ferguson also teaches and discusses various moves with coins, rubber bands and flash paper.
The video and audio footage is very good and the instructions for each move are easy to follow. Ferguson is not only a skilled card handler, but also a great teacher. The ad copy and promotional video are both accurate.
This is an excellent lecture that I will no doubt return to frequently for ideas and inspiration.
