Maybe I shouldn't be reviewing this, since I'm biased. I'm a Fantasio fanatic (sorry, I had to). Hell, over 50% of my teenage competition act was dreamed up and manufactured by this man. I'll do my best to be fair, but I'm guessing the reason I love this man is simply because he creates excellent magic.

Rider, the Runaway Deck
Basic effect: you push the card case towards someone at the table and it comes scurrying back to you. I've been looking for a way to do this for years, so I was thrilled to finally find a version that's not only easy to do, but it's a cinch to make.

Traveling Image
The performance was a bit rough, but the method is solid and the effect is interesting. A silk handkerchief is shown with a green border and a white center the same size as a playing card. The silk is stuffed into a pill box and set aside. A card is chosen and placed half-way into a card wallet. The face of the card travels from the card (now blank) to the silk.

If you want to do this one, you'll need to find or make quite a few special props, so be warned.

Bic Lighter to Card Fan
It is exactly what it says. It'll be a great addition to any manipulation act. It will take some effort to make, but well worth the effort.

Appearing Golf Club
I wasn't expecting it to actually look like a golf club, but it does! You'll need a silver Fantasio cane and a toy golf club set.

Paint Brush to Streamers
A vanishing wand (surprised?) with a brush tip.

Super Zipper Banana
OK, that's just weird. Unzip a banana, eat some, produce a mouth coil and then produce a lit candle from the banana peel. Not all ideas are coherent ideas.

Bill inside Bic Lighter
Again the name says it all. It does have a scary moment where the bic lighter is being held by the performer and his helper as he cuts through the plastic with a hack saw blade.

My conclusion: The title says it all. It's a bunch of random ideas. They're certainly creative, if a bit odd at times. If something in the description (or this review) appeals to you, buy the DVD to get the whole work. Most of these routines will require you to purchase some additional items and spend time and effort assembling the props. The DVD instructions cover all of the steps in great detail.
