Everyone knows that Max Maven is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to magic. I respect this man and his knowledge of magic tremendously.
The series of videos that were released by Max Maven and L&L Publishing are entertaining, insightful and of good quality. Many of the mentalism effects on these tapes can be made right in your living room with simple materials found just about anywhere. Each effect is described in detail by Max to his old pal Eugene Burger (another magical genius).
Although Mr. Maven may seem longwinded with some of the decriptions it must be understood that he is trying to convey to the purchaser of these tapes the origin and philosophy of these tricks. I use many of the effects on these tapes and I get an overwhelming response to them all.
If you want to get started in mentalism these tapes are a great starting point. If you're already a "practitioner" these tapes can be a wonderful resource of information. These tapes were released around 98 or 99 (don't hold me to that). I think it's time for some newer releases from this master of magic and mentalism.
