Card Artistry
Flom, Justin
Vanishing Inc.
It's the rarest kind of magic effect: it captures the imaginations of both magicians and audiences. Evoking a comparison of magician as artist, the performer "paints" his deck of cards into a four-by-four card mosaic of the Mona-Lisa. The spectator's selection appears in the painting! Inspired by a great Chris Kenner effect, "Card Artistry" is full of touches by professional performer Justin Flom.

For $35 bucks, you get an incredible effect, a well produced DVD and all the special cards that you need to do the effect.
As you know, if you read my reviews, I try not to let whether or not I like an effect impact my review. I try to focus on how well produced the training material (DVD, Book, etc.), how well made the gimmick is, and how well it lives up to its ad copy. That's it.
I do, however, still reserve the right to point out when I do (or do not) enjoy an effect even if it doesn't impact my review. This particular effect, while it did not fool me, still completely blew me away.
It's an excellent effect that has made it into my own repertoire. When I got the DVD I didn't know what the effect was. I just watched the demo on the DVD, and I laughed (and cried) like a giggley little school girl. It was awesome.
But how good of product is it? Training Quality? Gimmick/Prop Quality? Ad Copy Integrity? I'm glad to say that it nails it on all three accounts.
The cards are well made Bicycle stock. The DVD is well produced, and the ad copy is 100% accurate. The set I got was the "Mona Lisa" set. However, when you order this, pick up the combo set for $5 bucks more and you'll get both the Mona Lisa and the Brainscan version.
If you have no idea what I'm referring to, then you need to watch the teaser video. If you like the effect you see in the video, you MUST buy this. It's absolutely 100% worth the cost
Final Verdict:
5 Stars with a Stone Status of Absolute and Total GEM!

You do need to devote an entire deck to this effect, as well as a close up mat with a rubber backing. In my opinion, this is a small price to pay for such a pretty effect.
The DVD is extremely well shot, and the instruction is clear and to the point. The gaffed cards look beautiful, and are works of art in and of themselves!
If you have seen the preview, what you see is truly what you get, and worth every penny of the asking price.
