Overview

Once again Liam Montier and Big Blind Media hit it out of the park with a practical and usable compendium of effects with the Mene Tekel Deck Project. The Mene Tekel deck is attributed to Burling Hull and is thought to have made its appearance in 1910. What is a Mene Tekel deck you ask? What does Mene Tekel mean? If you are curious as to what this deck is with a very odd name, read on.

Effect

The performer shuffles a deck of cards and cuts them several times as well. A spectator freely chooses a card and places it anywhere in the deck. With the snap of his fingers, the performer has the card rise to the top of the deck. This and numerous other amazing card magic feats can be done with the Mene Tekel Deck Project by BBM.

Method

There is no sleight of hand but there is a cleverly designed deck of cards that will allow you to perform incredible card magic. The Mene Tekel deck is a utility type deck that will allow you to perform magic in a way that no ordinary deck can. The deck is similar to a Svengali deck but set up differently which will allow a freer display of cards in a manner that you cannot with a Svengali deck. As much as a Svengali deck does, that and more can be done with a Mene Tekel deck.

Product Quality

The deck provided is a Bicycle deck of cards so there are no quality issues there. The downloadable video instructions are 50 minutes long. In the 50 minute video, basic handling techniques are discussed, 8 tricks from the most basic to more advanced and finally 4 extra sleight you can use to make it seem the deck is an ordinary deck.
