PROS
In this effect, you talk about how you have timed exactly how long it will take you to find a participant's card. They freely name any card. You start a stopwatch. You look through the cards and find their card, hit the stopwatch at exactly 1:00 minute. They don't seem impressed as you found it face up. However, you turn over the card and on the back of their card is written "1:00 minute". You then show them other cards with different times printed on the backs.
The effect works. The instruction is good.
CONS
This is one of those effects where what is likely to be the obvious method to the participant is the method, and you can’t show them the cards or they will see that the obvious method is the method.
