Mullica Wallet

Mullica, Tom

Magic Methods

(Based on 1 review)
In effect, a card is selected from a shuffled deck - no force. The card is signed by the spectator and shuffled hack into the deck. Now, with your empty hand, remove your wallet from your back pocket. The wallet is opened and, there inside is a face down card. The card is turned over - it's not the selected card. However, there are some instructions on the card to look inside the smaller wallet inside the main wallet. Sure enough, inside the smaller wallet is the selected card.

This will be a short review because there really is not much to say about this product.

The wallet is very well made and of high quality. It is made with real leather and lined with a nice satin backing. It also works wonderfully right out of the package.

There are no written instructions included with this, save for a burned DVD on which Tom Mullica himself demonstrates and then teaches a simple signed card to wallet using the included wallet. The video is not studio quality and is quite casual. Tom is sitting on his living room couch throughout, but the video and audio quality were good. Tom is an excellent teacher and explains everything very clearly, but it is just that one effect. The video is a mere 5 minutes long - I feel that there could have been some more effects or uses put on the DVD, especially for the buyers that have never used magic wallets of any kind. For that, I dock a star off the rating.

More than anything, you are buying the wallet and in such cases, if you are buying it, you likely already have a use or a few ideas for it. The quality of the wallet is fantastic and you will not be disappointed, whether you are among the first time users or among those familiar with the concept of the Mullica Wallet. The $60 price tag is very good as well.

For effects and routines on various types of magic wallets, look for the Jerry Mentzer book, 'The Card to Wallet'. Another great book is the out of print book by Harry Lorayne called 'The Himber Wallet Book'. While it focuses on the Himber Wallet, most of the mmaterial can be adapted for use with the Mullica Wallet.
