The participant counts off seven business cards. A prediction is written on the first card and put on the table or in the individual's pocket. It will NEVER be touched again by the performer! The remaining cards are numbered one through six, under the strict observation of the participant. The cards are mixed and the individual selects any one of them. Even so, she turns over the tabled prediction, and it matches her selection!

Effect
The basic effect — all of the effects are based on this foundation — is that a six business cards have a number written on them. Numbers 1 through 6. Your spectators see that you really are writing a different number on each card. The cards are then mixed. The spectator then chooses one (free choice). You have predicted in advance what number they would choose.
The prediction can be handed out before the effect even starts. You never touch it again. The spectator can hold on to it until the moment of the reveal. She can, then, be the one to reveal it.
Method
The method is a clever way of using an idea that's been around for a very long time. Other magicians and marketed products have dabbled with parts of the ideas that make this work. However, putting it all together is original with Steve Shufton as far as I know. This principle is not limited to numbers. It can be used as a living/dead test. It can be used to enhance many classic mentalism effects.
The basic concept/method can be done with just your business cards and a pen. That's it. However, there is a bonus concept that takes this to an even more impossible level. The catch is that this method will very likely require you to reprint your business cards on a different kind of card stock. You may happen to be lucky and already have your cards printed on the correct stock, but not likely. Shufton does give a great resource for where to get your cards printed and what kind of stock to use. I've used this company before, and they're a great resource, and they carry the correct card stock that Shufton tells you to use.
Lucky for y'all, I happen to have the correct card stock on hand. I was able to test the concept, and it worked just fine. Everything you need to do this bonus next-level concept (other than possibly reprinting your business cards) can be purchased for a few bucks at a stationary store. The method works and is solid and reliable . . . if you have the correct business card stock.
If you're wanting to do this next-level version, you can, also, just buy blank business card stock for performing this effect (rather than reprinting your business cards) as long as you get the right kind, and that right kind is explained in the book.
Just keep in mind that the reprinting is only required for the bonus extra stuff. The stuff that is being touted in the ad copy can be done with nothing more than your business cards and a pen and nothing else.
Ad Copy Integrity
The ad copy is absolutely accurate. There's only one issue, but I won't hold it against Shufton, because it's from a testimonial from Dr. Todd Landman. Dr. Landman refers to this as impromptu mentalism. It is not impromptu. It requires you to prepare your business cards in advance. The prep is easy and quick, but it's still required.
Other than that, the ad copy is totally accurate. Take a minute to read the ad copy thoroughly. There are some claims made that seem impossible, but with this system, they are very much possible.
Product Quality
The book is very well written. The concept, effects, method and its many uses where covered clearly and in depth. You'll be able to easily learn how to do this after reading this book.
Final Thoughts
The title is accurate. It's a Prediction System that I LOVE! It's the kind of thing that allows you to have very powerful tool in your arsenal. At first glance, you might think that you could simply use the old classic ruse where you write the same number on each business card, but you claim to be writing different numbers. The advantage of this system is that the spectator can watch you write each number (or word, or whatever) on each card. This gives you a huge advantage when it comes to canceling out methods which is another great tool in the mentalist's tool belt.
