    1 - COLORS
The perfect Opening trick with cards! A visual color change where everything is given for examination! The magician remove a blue back deck out of a red card case and asks a spectator to touch any card. The performer taps the chosen card on the card case and its back becomes red! Then the magician taps the card case on the deck... that visually becomes red too! All the cards are now red... and are given for examination!

    2 - WRONG CARD
The classic effect where the magician can't find the chosen card... He then takes the card case to tap gently the wrong card with it : It visually changes into the chosen one! No force, the card can be signed and the effect is really magic and visual!

3 - SIGNED, TORN... AND VISUALLY RESTORED
Finally you will be able to perform in professional situation a signed, torn and instantly restored card routine... without any complicated sleight! Do you know how to do a triple lift? Then you can perform this incredible routine in less than 10 minutes!

    4 - CARD SHARK
Without a doubt one if the easiest but strongest cards cheating demonstration! Imagine this : You cut the deck in two parts and ask your audience to shuffle them. Get the cards back together and you can instantly produce the 4 aces! (for example...). No palm, no sleight, as clean and so easy!

    5 - IN THE BOX!
Have a card signed and lost in the deck. Explain that to find the card, you need to use your... credit card! Just take the card case and caress the deck with it : Your credit card visibly appears on the top of the deck! Give it to the spectator and explain him he can insert it wherever he wants in the deck, he will find his signed card under it. But he fails... You seem embarrassed until you realize that the signed card has vanished... Show the cards one by one, the signed card is actually not in the deck anymore! Show your hands completely empty, and grab the card case stayed on the table : Open it, and remove the signed card out of it! NO PALM!!!

    6 - ILLUSION
Perform the Sub Trunk in Close-up! The magician remove an ace of spades and a Queen of hearts from the deck, explaining they will both represent « the Magician, and his Partner performing the famous illusion of « The substitution Trunk ». After having given the card case for examination, the magician puts the ace of spades inside and close it. The queen of hearts is openly put face up on the deck of cards... Then the magician takes the card case and tap on the Queen of Hearts that visually changes into the Ace of Spades! The performer opens the card case and the Queen of Hearts is now inside! A visual effect, totally self working , ideal for TV or for children.

    7 - BIRTH DATE
Do you like Mentalism? The performer asks a spectator to indicate him 4 people from the audience who know her very well. Each of them touch a card at random when the deck is held face down and the four cards are slowly put on the top of the deck, without any suspect move. The mentalist asks then to the spectator to turn the 4 cards face up one by one... their value indicates her birth year! Hard to believe, but completely SELF WORKING, NO sleight!

    8 - KNIFE
Do you know the famous Gaetan Bloom's Card Stab? In this version the spectator can shuffles the cards and put them by himself in the card case! Then you lock it with a rubber band ... You then gives a knife to handle to the spectator and drop the card case in an empty envelope... Suddenly, you impale the bag on the knife : The signed card is stabbed on the knife while the card case is still closed by the rubber band... Everything is done for examination ... No Palm, just devilish and hyper easy to realize!

    9 - WILLIAM PRO
A card is chosen and lost in the deck in a very clean way. It seems impossible to find it back. The magician takes the card case and caress the deck with it as for a magic move : All the cards instantly turn face up! All the cards... except the chosen one! And everything can be given for examination right away!

    10 - TRIUMPH
A card is selected and lost in the deck. To make it more impossible, the magician shuffles the cards face up and face down : One can clearly sees that the cards are shuffled face up and face down... A simple magic move with the card case on the cards, and they instantly all turn face up... except the chosen card! A very easy and extremely visual version of the classic « triumph » effect that can be performed stand up without any table

    11 - GHOST CARD
A card is chosen and lost in the deck. The magician explains that to find it back, he will pick 4 cards at random. He clearly shows four cards in his hands and of if them appears to be the selection... A simple magic move, and all the cards vanish except the chosen one! Read that : No Palm! Just a very clever way to use the gimmick for an original and visual application!

I do like this DVD and gimmick and it does have many different effects coming off of it. Not all of them are practical, but they do work and look very good.
The DVD is a bit confusing to navigate, but when you get there the content is very good. It is shot in a living room, and performed on a coffee table. When you understand the principle of the DVD, all of the tricks are relatively easy to figure out and perform. There are no live performances on this DVD, and I think that is a shame because it would be nice to see how he would perform it to an actual audience, not just a camera. All of the effects are performed in silence, and then are explained. I'm not too sure why he performs them in silence, it might be because he wants to show you that you don't have to say anything and the magic communicates for itself, however the patter really does help a trick's performance. It could also be a way of getting around the language barrier, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I think that this sort of magic might be best suited for TV or YouTube, or would even look very good on a magic showreel, however it still does work when performing it live, it is just a bit risky.

All of the effects on the DVD are decent, and I especially like torn and restored card, wrong card, and William pro. Torn and restored card is probably one of the most visual and impossible routines, and plays the best to a live audience, because at the end you are left with a restored card which is crying out to the audience to be examined, which you can give to them meaning the attention is drawn away from the card box which is also wanted to be examined, but not so much because it isn't the main effect, it is just an add on.

Wrong card is basically what it says on the tin. It is relatively easy to perform, and is fool proof. It is the MOST visual effect on the DVD, because it is a simple change, and is very quick and stripped down to make it more impossible. It is the sort of trick on the DVD which is better suited to a showreel or something like that.

William Pro is a twist of the classic trick which everyone knows. It is perfect for the moments when someone comes up to you and says, 'can I show you a trick?' And when I agree and hand over the cards they start doing the trick where I take out a card and insert it back in the deck and then it is the only one turned around. They always ask if I know how they did it after they performed, and now with this trick I can say yes, ask them to take out a card, insert it back into the deck, and at this point they normally agree that I know how it is done and start playing along, and then I take the card box and tap it on the deck, and then all of the cards turn over apart from their card. They are completely shocked and surprised, but also amazed at the same time! This is why I like William pro, and it is one of my favourite effects on the DVD.

The gimmick does it's job, and does what it should do, however they do get worn out easily, and it would be good if they offered a refill pack.

On the whole the DVD is good, and contains some good and some not so good content. If you like what you see on the trailer, then you get what you see, and if that's your performing style then get this DVD. Good audience management is also key, because you can't let them inspect the card box, which is the main focus of the effects. For the price you get some good magic and a good gimmick, and a fairly good product. I would recommend this to anyone who thinks that this is their style.

A clever prop that is fun to use. The illusion trick stops the audience cold. As many times as I have performed it, no one has grabbed the case. As long as you casually toss it aside you are home free.

One criticism is that the cards are not supplied for the "illusion" trick.

The DVD does contain some so so tricks but the torn and restored alone is worth the effect. I have improved it by offering the spectator one of the corners and lay out the remaining three pieces. After the restoration, the card is still bent and the corner is missing. The spectator immediately checks to see if the corner matches and it does. This is not too hard to figure out after you understand the trick. Most people are so impressed, they ask to keep the card.

David Stone is a very clever guy. I remember seeing him lecture a few years ago and, despite the language barrier, I thought he was a very good communicator and teacher. This is his latest offering and if you perform with cards, you will probably like at least one of the ideas he provides here. A DVD with about a dozen routines plus two versions of the gimmick, one red and one blue, is included.

I thought the DVD menu was a bit clumsy. It took a bit to set up the language and get going. The film quality is home made and appears to be in David's living room. What appears to be close friends serve as audience members as David rattles through the routines. But it's not shot badly and shouldn't prevent anyone from the basic learning one needs to pull these off. I think five of the effects are quite good, but the rest are a stretch. In an effort to make the gimmick appear to be more versatile than it really is, David has included methods that have no real use. Basically, in my opinion, any of the routines that directly call attention to the card case itself, are foolish and dangerous. He's practically begging the audience to grab the case. It's very possible that many spectators could look over the card case and find nothing at all, but why take that chance?

I did like TOOL's uses for a torn and restored card, a signed card to case, a mentalism routine involving someone's birth year and I especially liked the card stab idea! To me, these four items are enough to recommend this. I do worry about the cases wearing out, but at $35, if one uses this often enough to wear it out, plopping down another $35 for these very well-made gimmicks would be worth it.
