Eclipse

Berry, Jay Scott

JSB Productions

(Based on 2 reviews)
More than just an effect, Eclipse is a new concept in magic that fuses two traditional effects into one singular gimmick. So powerful and versatile that it will help to shape the future of magic. Imagine, you roll up your sleeves and show your hands completely empty. With no false moves, you reach into the air and produce a white silk at your fingertips. Then, after freely showing the silk, you pass it through your hand and it magically changes to black. In a final piece de resistance, the black silk miraculously vanishes into thin air.

Years ago when I saw first time the Eclipse in my friendly neighborhood magic shop, I was less than impressed. It appeared to be a modified utility item that we all have known and loved for years. It wasn't until I saw Jay Scott Berry use it in his lecture performances that I realized what was possible. All of the effects that you can do with the Eclipse start and end clean - if you combine it with one of Jay's other products.

So what can it be used for? Silks, ribbons and sponge balls for starters. Amongst the possible effects are productions, vanishes, transformations, or blendos. It can even replace your dye tube.

The basic Eclipse will require some imagination so I recommend looking into the Total Eclipse DVD or my personal favorite the Rainbow Eclipse. Otherwise you may miss the potential as I did.

The Eclipse is well within the grasp of the beginner but will require thought in how to use it that.

I use this utility device a lot. You will too when you see it's possiblities.

I believe the price you have quoted is for the gimmick only.
The whole unit is around $15.00 to $20.00.
The gimmick sold separate is larger than the one that comes with the trick so if your thumbs are small get the whole trick.
This is a gimmick I use often so I give it a 5.
