Friend - Volume 1
Bruno Copin
(Based on 2 reviews)
All of the effects in these DVDs are accompanied by specially composed music. The explanations are specially filmed in interactive multiangles. Highly Didactic.
Specific materials have been supplied with the DVDs. The quality of each element was a priority in the production of these products.
Your first Instant Thread Security (I.T.S.) has been provided Free with the DVD Friend Vol. 1. A special mini close-up mat has also been included. When the mat is combined with the I.T.S. it provided a formidable "hook-up" system which is extremely quick and secure.
Contents:
- Butterfly Effect - Romantic poetry in motion.....in the spectator's hand.
- Rolling Cigarette - An old classic transformed by a very funny explanation.
- Magic Pitcher - The spectator becomes the magician.
- Great Escape - A subtle steal. This effect could have been called Houdini.
- Rising Card - A repeatable rising card effect......yet again in the spectator's hand.
- Lie Detector - Raise your right hand and say "I swear."
- Icare's Dream - Idyllic levitation of a card (demonstration only). Material and explanation available separately.
- Surprised in the Pockets - An original version of the classic cards to pocket effect.

Bruno Copin is one of the Greats of IT, right up there with Mesika and Finn Jon. And i would not expect anything less from him in this two part volume series.
The design and quality of both the ricks themselves, the Case,DVD, Production and camera work, are flawless.
Copin is a true perfectionist when it comes to giving you true value of what you pay for, and you do pay for it. But with that you get everything, and i mean everything you need to start working right away, The special close up mat is superb and the built in gimmick is genius, his IT is amazingly strong and invisible (no it is not elastic), and the ITS gimmick is one i carry with me day to day now.
The price tag is a little steep, but the effects themselves are worth it. If you are a IT user, get this now, you will not regret it. The tricks in this DVD are truly works of art, they can be used stand-alone or in a sequence, and they fit any repertoire, every trick also has a story in itself, witch is a great add.
The only draw back if any, is that Mr.Copin did not give an explanation to the Icare's Dream, witch is a lovely story and trick, yes we can probably figure it out after using IT for a while, but still, would have loved for him to include it, for the price.

Bruno Copin has produced the highest-quality products I've ever reviewed. The packaging, the props, the DVD quality... it's all excellent. The producers have spared no expense.
With Volume 1 you receive the DVD, one of Copin's custom close-up pads, his ITS system and extra thread (included in a lovely cloth bag).
The content of the DVD is no less impressive. Copin is charming and performs miracles. He's very good at creating an atmosphere conducive to wonder.
It's all thread work. There are some pieces, like “Butterfly Effect” that are poetry in motion. Others are quickies and “bar tricks” (not that they're any less amazing). Those of you who believe in the “Too Perfect Theory” may not like some of the material, since it borders on the impossible and, if presented incorrectly, could lead to that “how else?” thought.
Copin also uses the thread in ways that you'd never expect... as more of a utility device than to make things animate. This bit of wisdom is easily worth the price of the product.
The DVD production quality exceeds almost everything I've seen to date. He uses tri-camera views to great effect and the close-ups for thread preparation are perfect.
If you do thread work, you'd be an idiot not to buy everything Copin produces. If you're not a thread worker yet, he will probably turn you into one.
