MORPHED is a stunning effect where you create an individual piece of art right in front of their eyes!

Two separate playing cards are selected and cleanly displayed on both sides. Slowly and fairly, the two cards are pressed together and "morphed" into one very bizarre looking card showing the two different suits and values on its face! This very special magically created card can be completely examined or even given away for an unforgettable souvenir!

MORPHED comes complete with a specially printed poker size red Bicycle Rider backed Gimmick (printed for us by the U.S. Playing Card Company) and detailed Online instructions.

Overview

Morphed by Daryl is another release in the Daryl Legacy Line from Murphy’s Magi. It is a quick yet quirky trick, which you can open your walk around set with. At the end of the routine you produce an impossible object which will bring smiles to the spectators faces. The revelation isn’t earth shattering but it is interesting enough to define you as a professional and set the stage for you as being a fun and likable person.

Effect

You have one or two spectators, select two cards from a facedown deck. You display the two cards and instantly you reveal the two cards has become one. The individual faces have melded onto one single card. The card can be handed out as a souvenir, although I would reserve that only for a very special occasion.

Method

The method involves employing the use of a specially printed card which has the two faces of the cards as one. Only one special card is used and can easily be rung in and out at will. The easiest method is to already have the deck set up and use this piece as an opener. All that is required is some basic card handling skills such as a card force and a simple turnover move. The premise is simple enough to allow for a wide latitude of presentational possibilities.

Product Quality

The card is printed by the United States Playing Card Company so there are no quality issues there. It will fit right in with any Rider Back deck. I believe they are only printed in the red back because that is the more popular color. The instructional video is 11 minutes long and the filming, sound, lighting and editing are all excellent. The instructional covers the necessary card handling skills from the most basic using the Cut Deeper Force to more complex forcing methods. After the cards are “chosen” it is just a simple manor of turning the two cards face down and displaying the Morphed card. Again, various handling options are covered. It may sound like the price of $6.95 for a single playing card is expensive but the download instructional is well worth the investment. As long as you don’t give the card away, you will perform this time and time again.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy is completely accurate and the trailer displays the routine as it is performed. This is a nice opener to introduce yourself and your perspective spectators to magic.
