At the Table Live Lecture - Justin Miller 3/18/2015
Justin Miller. Magic creator extraordinaire, and world-class sleight-of-hand artist. Hot off SyFy's hit TV show Wizard Wars, Justin joins us At The Table for something unique as he plans to take all of the effects he will be teaching, and perform them for a live audience prior to this event. He will then break down every performance as he goes over what worked, what didn't work and what could have be done differently - invaluable advice from anyone looking to improve their own magic and audience management! There will be magic ranging from never before published effects like VooDoo NoDude, which involves PK touches, fire and a bit of insanity, to updated handlings of things like Justin's ever popular Freedom Pack.A special event that should not be missed!

PROS
This lecture is full of great effects, great moves, and great routines. It is hosted by Greg Wilson who is really good at keeping it fun and adding to the value of the lecture.
Most of the effects are done with little or no setup. They range from simple, easy to do effects to some that will take a bit of practice.
In my notes, I identified seven effects or routines that I want to work on.
He has a great three fly routine that uses nothing but ordinary, can be borrowed, quarters. I love it. He also teaches around three variations of the three fly, all very good.
He teaches an awesome loop routine with a sharpie and a ring, and an awesome effect with a card that turns around behind your outstretched hands.
CONS
It’s hard to think of a downside. He showed actual audience street performances of the various effects. I really love that he showed them warts and all. It wasn’t just a stream of effects with “people gone wild” reactions. He really showed the range of real life reactions. In doing so, it was a real learning experience as he talked about audience control, the different reactions, how to work with different reactions, etc.
VERDICT
A great lecture. Highly recommended.
