Flaming Handkerchief, The
A borrowed handkerchief is apparently consumed in a burst of flames. However, the hank is returned to its owner unharmed. This effect lends itself to clever patter stories, especially one built around the Hindenburg disaster. Briefly, in the effect, the borrowed hank is placed over magician's empty hand. Spectators assist in gathering particles of this invisible gas that is floating around in the air. A lighted match applied, followed by a Burst of Flame and Smoke, yet the hank is unharmed. There are no liquid chemicals used. THIS TRICK may be presented ANYWHERE under anykind of CONDITIONS. In fact, the audience may be completely around the magi.
