Overview

Six by Six produced by Simon Lipkin is a totally unique take on performing routines normally using ESP cards but turns that concept on its head. If you would like to perform ESP type tricks but ESP symbols do not fit your persona or audience, then give Six by Six a serious look. Not only can you perform the standard matchup routines typically associated with ESP symbols but you can do much, much more.

Effect

A small packet of Rubik’s game cards is removed from the performer’s pocket. With what is seemingly just an ordinary set of game cards one can purchase in any local superstore, the performer puts on a show of incredible intuitive powers. Matching routines, prediction effects, mind reading routines as well as using the cards with a Rubik’s Cube. The performer performed an endless array of effects with just twelve cards…how is this possible?

Method

The cards provided are cleverly designed with a few subtleties that will allow you to easily perform several routines. Within the design of the cards are a couple of marking systems as well as other clever features help you do what is most important which is focus on the presentation. There is really no sleight of hand needed but keen eyesight and audience management is what is needed most to use this cleverly designed product.

Product Quality

The quality of the product is superb. A lot of thought was expended on milking as much as they can out of a small packet of game cards and its requisite holder. There is not one millimeter of wasted space on this product. Each component, the cards and the holder has so much built into it. What can be done with 12 small game cards? Well, there is a 1 hour and 45 minute download filled with ideas, tips and strategies included as well. The camera shot is primarily a static shot with a couple of close –ups when needed. I wouldn’t call this a Hollywood production but the photography was clean and the sound and lighting were just fine.

Ad Copy Integrity

I would say the ad copy does not do the product justice. The opportunity opens up to so many more effects being that six cards are used vs the five that an ESP set uses.

Final Thoughts

One effect that immediately came to mind now that six cards are used is Dowsing for Duplicates by Alexander Marsh. If you want a universally recognized card set that does not look out of place, I highly recommend Six by Six.
