Invasion of the Body Snatchers

Magic & Mysteries of Bill Abbott, The

(Based on 1 review)
"When Peter performs Invasion of the Body Snatchers, I always get goosebumps! No other "Packet Trick" in the entire world of magic has done that. And I've seen a lot of packet tricks in the world of magic. This is the perfect piece of Close-up Magic Theatre!"
- Bill Abbott

Invasion of the Body Snatchers was the first published in Peter Samelson's book Theatrical Close-up. Using Peter Kane's timeless Wild Card packet card trick as a launching pad, Peter married it with a presentation based on the cult classic sci-fi film Invasion of the Bod Ssnatchers circa 1956 and created a veritable classic of close-up magic theatre.

Bill Abbott Magic is proud to partner with Peter to bring you the complete work on Invasion of the Body Snatchers that includes the necessary cards, wallet, printed script and DVD instructions. As a bonus we've included Peter performing the effect on TV in 1973(!) on a show entitled Behind the scenes hosted by the hilarious Jonathan Winters.

PROS

This is a great packet trick that combines a classic of magic “Wild Card” and the classic movie “Invasion of the Body Snatchers”.

Peter created a great routine with all different changes and a great plot.

The props are good quality Bicycle cards.

The instruction is excellent.

CONS

I’m a pretty creative person, but I just can’t see how to change this routine to personalize it. The routine is just perfect as is. I think this is a routine that you may want to do just as is, or with just the most minor of changes.

VERDICT

Possibly the best “Wild Card” routine ever.
