Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism, The

McGill, Ormond

Abbott's

(Based on 2 reviews)
A classic textbook. There's nothing else like it on the market today. From this tome, you can easily master all the basics of stage hypnotism. From "A Variety of Hypnotic Methods" to "Awakening the Subject," this book covers every detail of how to hypnotize, experiments to attempt with hypnotized subjects, and how to present an entire hypnotic show. Written by the dean of Hypnotists, Ormond McGill, this book is as useful today as it was when first published in 1947.

Great book; but if you are thinking of buying it I'd suggest purchasing "The New Encyclopedia of Stage Hypnotism" instead as it expands and modernizes this text. But for the price you can't go wrong.

This is a classic. When I started it was the one and only. While this still has good ideas, it is too old to highly recommend. Hypnotism has come a long way since this was written.
