The Watch Crystal

Throughout the ages man has been fascinated with the concept of time. His quest to harness it has taken him from the ancient sundial to the atomic clock. But never before has time been told like this.

The mystery begins with the magician displaying a small glass disc-"the crystal from an old pocket watch." A spectator thinks of any time of a secret time.

After blowing on the crystal, a vaporous watch dial appears on the glass, and the hands reveal the chosen hour!

The misty apparition slowly fades, disappearing in time, and the crystal is once again transparent.

This astonishing crystal comes in a velvet carrying bag, with customized polishing cloth and illustrated instructions to an intriguing and timeless presentation.

If the trick worked as advertised it would be great. Unfortunately the description is misleading. "The mystery begins with the magician displaying a small glass disc-"the crystal from an old pocket watch." A spectator thinks of any time of a secret time. After blowing on the crystal, a vaporous watch dial appears on the glass, and the hands reveal the chosen hour!"

Mine actually even had a manufacturing defect. I did get a very quick and polite offer to exchange it which is always gratifying. But I never sent it as I felt I would never perform it anyway.

This trick from the description actually sounds very good and if it were to work like that in reality then this would get 5 out of 5. However, without tipping the secret to this effect, I would say that this trick may fool the younger members of your audience, but the presentation aspect of this trick will leave adults questioning. It is however, a well made piece of magic, pity about the overall magicalness (if there is such a word)!
