A story is told about a fortuneteller. As the mage tells his story, he illustrates it using old tarot cards. Regardless of the choices made, one always meets death. However, death is a better option than who he truly meets at the end. The surprising revelation will leave your audience gasping!

This piece of bizarre magic can be performed quickly or with more of a story depending on your audience. It is a piece that really packs a punch and allows you to focus on your storytelling and your audience.

You get three handmade, hand cut and hand aged cards. No three are exactly alike, so your set is unique. You also get a handmade and aged envelope for the cards, and an instruction booklet. The booklet is full color, professionally printed 8 1/2" X 11" saddle stitched book that explains all of the working and three different routines. No photocopied pages here.

No Difficult Sleight of Hand, No Switches, Ends clean!

You wouldn’t think packet tricks and bizarre magic would be a good mix, but it’s a beautiful marriage in this product by Paul Prater. The effect is a Color Monte type effect, with a bizarre story telling presentation. This product hits the mark on so many levels, I don’t know where to begin.

I should probably begin with the props themselves. The three tarot cards you receive are handmade and aged to look like genuine antique cards. The cards are also specially made so you don’t have to do any of the classic Color Monte moves. No breaks need to be held, and no need to do any ‘false counts.’ The artwork is beautiful, and the back design is really pretty.

The booklet included is gorgeous and extremely well written. Included are not only the instructions for the method, but THREE different stories to choose from. Each story is dark and whimsical in their own right, and the variety shows there are dozens of ways to present the effect. Hopefully this encourages people to work on writing their own stories as well.

I know there are card magicians who might not be into bizarre magic, and I know there are bizarre magicians who don’t use cards, but I think this will interest and be of use to both. Bizarrists who might hate card magic will learn from this, and use it. I also see it being a nice story trick added to a card worker’s arsenal.

This is how magic products should be presented to us. I really hope to see more fantastic products from Paul in the near future!!!
