Opinion pole is an interesting version of the appearing pole trick. The newspaper theme allows you to make some interesting jokes about how politicians depend on the opinion poles (or don't depend on them).
It works the same way that all of the other appearing apparatus work. It is sturdy and if instructions are followed about storing, it should last a long time.
I was disappointed that it cannot be used with the recoil apparatus so that it can be pushed back into the paper bag, but the newspaper surface prevents it from being used.
