Overview

If you like Extreme Burn or any other bill transformation routine but hated to invest so many actual dollars in the gimmick, Extreme Money could be something you would like to carry. I say “could be” because even though the gimmick is already pre-made and looks incredible, it fell so far short on the instructional you would be on your own as far as figuring out how it works.

Effect

The performer takes out a dollar bill and holds it vertically for all to see. He then folds the bill and it changes to a $50 bill, it is folded once more and it changes to a $100 bill and shown front and back. It is then put away for safe keeping.

Method

The method utilizes an extremely well-constructed gimmick. In the folding procedure the changes are made. There really isn’t much of a presentation so this would fall into the category of impromptu / shock magic, whereby something inexplicable happens and it ends abruptly.

Product Quality

The gimmick is obviously made from reproduction bills that look incredibly real. The magnets are so perfectly aligned and installed they are invisible even upon close inspection. This has to be one of the best gimmicks I have seen in a long time. The one big negative happens to be the 13 minute tutorial. It is terribly filmed, hard to follow and as many of these non-speaking instructionals with irritating music in the background. It is a shame that no effort was put into making the tutorial enjoyable to watch. Obviously, the bill can’t be given out for inspection.

The ad copy is accurate and does all it says.

Final Thoughts

The gimmick is so well made I hate to knock it for the tutorial but as a purchaser of magic, I don’t want to struggle with learning how to perform something after I shell out some hard earned cash. If you have the patience to play with this on you own or struggle through the poorly executed video, I highly recommend it.
