Running a business means I have to make a lot of decisions, sometimes very quickly. I learned to trust my gut a long time ago. But sometimes my gut is wrong.
I watched this DVD for the first time several weeks ago and put it in the pile of stuff I was planning to rip apart. But after thinking about it for a while, I've changed my mind.
I think part of what turned me around was that I remembered being fooled many years ago by Bob Farmer using a similar method. I figured I should give it some more thought.
The effect is straightforward: two signed cards end up in your back pockets. No jacket required. Almost no skill required. Resets immediately. Not bad marketing copy, eh?
It's all true. The method is straightforward and easily within the grasp of most magicians. The gimmick can be rung into play at any time. The reset is instant, and actually part of the cleanup.
There are some drawbacks, though. The most important is that you can't do it surrounded. Actually, the angles are a bit tricky. I certainly don't think I would try it at a restaurant or cocktail party. I suppose you could wear a jacket and change the handling a bit to get around this problem.
I'm still on the fence, but I certainly don't want to discourage anyone from buying this product. If this kinda thing interests you, pick one up and post your own review.
